I would say how the rule is written you have to pay 12 offensive players on your MLB we can not tell you who those 12 have to be. They aren't free they are going against the cap. Ken is right we shouldn't be micro managing a team and it will not make it fun. None of us are getting paid to do this so if it's not fun, people start to quit. Then nobody has fun. We survived our first year and everyone had fun so why should we change things.

Update:
You do not get the compensation pick if you resign the player. You will get the 20% off hometown discount. Sorry for any confusion and misunderstanding.

JUST WANNA POINT OUT THAT THIS SITUATION ABOVE ON 11/13/15 WAS SITED IN THE BEGINNING AS AND I WILL QUOTE " I would say how the rule is written .
NOW WHEN I ACTUALLY MAKE A MOVE BASED OFF HOW THE RULE IS WRITTEN , THINGS ARE REINTERPRETED , ALTHOUGH I UNDERSTAND WHERE THE DECISION COMES FROM I DON'T FEEL THAT THERE IS CONSISTENCY HERE , IF WE WERE TO GO BY HOW THE RULE IS WRITTEN I WOULD BE DUE BOTH BENEFITS AND THE RULE SHOULD BE CHANGED GOING FORWARD IF PEOPLE ARE UNHAPPY ABOUT IT

See this is what I meant earlier by people trying to exploit rules and why rules should be written out clearly. It should be common sense that a team doesn't get a comp pick when resigning their players but some teams see a few words in the rule and try to get around it and just assume. Rules need to be more clearer but most importantly owners shouldn't be trying to exploit rules and instead ask questions before making decisions or use common sense.

People can understand why you are upset. But this league is to be similar to MLB, in MLB you only get compensation when you don't resign the player. That being said, this most recent post was uncalled for. Let us act accordingly. I recently had a problem and I am taking my hit in stride and dealt with it with Hannes and Bryan directly, not in front of everyone in the league. Please, let Hannes and Bryan handle this and stop commenting on it everyone.

This is mature. This league is only as good as its managers so we need to work together with the rules and if someone sees something that might be wrong to bring it up and some of them need to be more clear like this one and ones I brought up earlier. I can't imagine you really thinking that you can get both a 20% discount on a player and receive compensation all because that player was dropped by you and that seeming like it is right.

I can't imagine the how the discussions would be if there was some money on the line in this league

If we are reading the rule book it also says under 11.3 that off season free agents can not be traded until May 1st. That was in the rules when this league very first started so it wasn't new. I am sorry the rule for the compensation pick was not clearly worded but it is now so everyone knows the rules. Hannes, Arizona and myself will resolve the issue before the misunderstanding was clear.
