Week 11 Day 75
Once tension and stress rear its ugly head in your place of employment it's not long after that you develop a grudge against your job.
Message Bible: 1 Corinthians 15:58 "With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don't hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort."

Week 11 Day 76
How do you deal with a job that has turned into a grudge? Simple. Up until this point you have been trying to live and work without the power of Jesus Christ. Remember what Jesus said, "Without me you can do nothing."
Message Bible: John 15:5 ""I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can't produce a thing."

Week 11 Day 77
The best way to ensure maximum productivity without stress is to remember that Jesus is your partner in work as well as at church.
Message Bible: Ephesians 6: 7 "And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you're really serving God."

Week 12 Day 79
The top four teams continued their winning ways. The Really Royals won their sixth straight to stay three-way tied for first with the Mighty Mets and the still "L" less Gigantic Giants. Only a 1/2 game back in 4th place prowls the Awesome Athletics winner of a league leading eight-in-a-row! The Mariners remain without an "L" for their 4th-in-a-row to hold down the 5 spot. Half game back the Padres won back-to-back (yeah, they've lost their adjective) and are tied for sixth with the White Sox who stumbled this week. Other notables: Is there anything better than a late Sunday night victory? My Red Sox down 10-4 Sunday afternoon, snuck past the Cardinals 7.5 - 6.5. You can still hear the squeak. Stat winners for week eleven: Round trippers: Mets (13) Runs: Athletics - (43) RBI: - Cardinals (49) Steals - Athletics... again (11) AVG Red Sox (.333) Ks- Giants (76) ERA - Giants (2.32) WHIP - Giants (0.991) SVh - Athletics (11) W+QS - Mets again and again (12) Serious matchups this week: A couple of 1st placers: The Really Royals will try and finally hang an "L" on the Gigantic Giants. Gonna be a goody! And the Padres will try and earn their "Powerful" back with a win over the Mighty Mets. Both games are playoff previews. My sincere condolences to the Cardinals who not only took a late night "L" but lost their Superstar Mookie Betts for several months with a broken hand. With pitchers throwing harder than ever I am worried that more batters will be injured in like manner. Yep. Worry is this week's theme.
Message Bible: John 14:7 ""Don't let this throw you. You trust God, don't you? Trust me."

Week 12 Day 80
There are few things that have such a negative impact on your spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being as problems that we worry about.
Message Bible: Psalm 94:19 "When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up."

Week 12 Day 81
In many cases the results of continued worries influence your mind to such an extent that your mental abilities are impaired. When that happens, go to His Word and read!
Message Bible: Philippians 4: 6-7 "Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. 7 Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."

Week 12 Day 82
When Jesus called those who were weary and overburdened to Him, He did not promise that all their problems would disappear instantly.
Message Bible: Matthew 11: 28-30 ""Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. 29 Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. 30 Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Week 12 Day 83
Instead of making your problems disappear, Jesus promised to share our burdens and teach us how to cope. I am reminded of the old adage, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for the day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Same with our burdens. Teach us how to cope, Lord, and we will be free from worry for a lifetime.
Message Bible: Galatians 6:2 "Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law."

Week 12 Day 84
You cannot predict when you will receive setbacks in life, nor can you foresee how serious they will be. When they come, turn to the one who loves you the most. God.
Message Bible: Psalm 94:18 "The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, God, took hold and held me fast."

Week 12 Day 85
To maintain peace of mind, it is essential to develop a healthy personal relationship with the living Christ! He will get you through any and all difficuties.
Message Bible: Matthew 6:25-34 " "If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body.
26 Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.
27 "Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch?
28 All this time and money wasted on fashion - do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop,
29 but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.
30 "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers - most of which are never even seen - don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?
31 What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving.
32 People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works.
33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
34 "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Week 13 Day 86
Week 12 fireworks: The Mighty Mets stayed in 1st place by squeaking past the Padres on the strength of (2) SBs and (4) K's. O.T.H! The tied for 1st place Gigantic Giants are still singing the "Can't be beat" song by handing the Really Royals their 2nd "L." Lurking in 3rd place only a 1/2 game back, the Awesome Athletics, winners of 9 straight. Personally, I am not looking forward to playing them. Stat winners for week twelve: Round trippers: Padres (15) Runs: Giants - (41) RBI: - Athletics (41) Steals - Athletics... again and again (8) AVG Astros (.344) Ks- Giants/Mariners (78) ERA - Marlins (1.58) WHIP - Marlins (0.898) SVh - Athletics (again) (9) W+QS - Mets again and again and again (12) Significant matchups this week: The Cubs take their turn at trying to hang a "L" on the unbeaten Gigantic Giants and the White Sox will see if they can keep the Awesome Athletics from their 10th straight win. I'm sure the Cubs and the White Sox will be giving their best. Giving. This week's focus.
Message Bible: Psalm 112:5 "The good person is generous and lends lavishly."

Week 13 Day 87
When a gift is given freely and with joy, the value of the gift is increased. It is the privilege and pleasure of every Christian to be a giver.
Message Bible: 1 Timothy 6:17-19 "Tell those rich in this world's wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage - 18 to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. 19 If they do that, they'll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life."

Week 13 Day 88
When the Holy Spirit of the living Christ flows through you, He teaches you to love and withhold nothing that will bless and enrich your neighbor.
Message Bible: 2 Corinthians 9: 6-9 "6 Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. 7 I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving. 8 God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. 9 As one psalmist puts it, He throws caution to the winds, giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out.

Week 13 Day 89
Your purpose in life is to be a blessing to others. Let your gift always be accompanied by a prayer of thanksgiving and a desire that God will bless the gift, and thank Him that you were able to give.
Message Bible: Acts 20:35 "In everything I've done, I have demonstrated to you how necessary it is to work on behalf of the weak and not exploit them. You'll not likely go wrong here if you keep remembering that our Master said, 'You're far happier giving than getting.'"
