Okay so now that we all tried Fantrax for a couple weeks. I hope the non playoff teams at least gave it a chance. What do you think of it? I want people to put what they like and don't like about each site that they are familiar with. I would like to get as much info and insight from each site. On a scoring site we need to be able to edit schedules and edit the scoring and roster positions on it. I know CBS has a free one but more options are paid.
Fantrax, I'm not overly impressed by the design of the mobile app. Especially the matchup section with the stats of each category is hidden in the middle. I like Yahoo matchup better cause they were on top of each other so you can easily see how you are doing in each category compared to the other team. I don't really care for the team page where you do your lineup either. The only thing I like about Fantrax is the desktop matchup. There were times I was watching my team and you can see when your batters are on deck or batting. Fantrax has all the MiLB players in the system and you can even have them on your Fantrax page. If your looking at other teams for trades you can easily look at their team page and see every single player in MLB and MiLB.
Yahoo was good to us except for the fact we couldn't edit the playoffs. We found away around that with 2 options. The first is the best one I think. We can cut our regular season games from 21 to 20 and have weeks 21-23 for the playoffs and we can edit it. Week 23 would be the World Series. Then our league would be finished officially. Yahoo would then go to a 4 team playoff for weeks 24 and 25 but that wouldn't mean anything. The 2nd option would be getting rid of divisions and having one 20 team league with the top 8 making the playoffs. I do know that we try to make our league close to MLB as possible so if we did that would be far from realization. Even if we did just 2 divisions with National and American League Yahoo would still take the best 6 non division winners.
ESPN I know we can edit playoffs. I have never used ESPN for baseball but I used it for football. I heard that ESPN doesn't have much prospects so you have to wait for them to be available. I heard that takes a day or two after they are called up. If anybody knows for sure let us know.
CBS I have no clue. If anyone has any experience with that let us know and we can look into it.
