I was thrilled to see Toglia finally step forward and love Big Christmas, but I needed arms and really like McGonigle/Baez from a prospect perspective. I think this makes my team better despite the offensive loss and the potential that Toglia/Goodman/Noel make me regret this deal.

I had holes everywhere. Salvador Perez was my catcher and 1b, which was obviously impossible. This trade gives me a 1b, backup catcher and some serious power potential. Worth moving Shota not to have to do all of that in FA.
