Seems like we found some agreement on the hold situation. So let's narrow it down to either no holds at all or have 2 categories (Saves and Saves plus Holds). That way saves get counted twice so it keeps the saves worth more. Which ever way wins will be final. Seems like everyone is liking Cleveland's idea so let's see if this is better. The vote will end Wednesday the 5th. Leave your opinion if you want. Thanks for your time.

Or strikeouts. Would make the premier home run players like Chris Carter a little more risky.

I'd say strikeouts, adding errors wouldn't affect DH like Ortiz, Gattis, etc. Plus as mentioned by Bryan, it would balance guys like Carter and Gallo out

I'm not going for Ks that's too big of a change on how teams have been built. It hasn't mattered so why should it now, I'm fine with errors although I think it's kind of dumb and pointless but we are trying to get people to play more guys but then we force them to play people and of the guy Ks the team is punished. If we have Ks I don't see how we can force teams to play their position players if they don't want to.
We can't force teams to play guys with negative stats IMO and teams have been built on current categories.
How about we just do every category for pitching and hitting that yahoo lets us do, why are we trying to change so much?
How about add saves and holds and get rid of HRs given up. I'd rather have no negative categories than one on each side.

That is a good point. I guess we have net stolen bases so it could hurt you if your guy gets caught and you only were leading that category by 1.
Or we don't have to add a category.
IMO if we took out HR allowed it would not affect anybody.

Well you know what, I have been told in the past few days I have eight months to change my strategy so I suppose that advice would apply to you as well my friend. Don't get upset by my response here but I was informed that rules change and evolve over time so I suppose we all need to get used to it and be flexible in the future.

What's the hitting category that we will add then? Exactly. Not a big fan of errors being the negative. What about K's for hitters? Would make more sense since everything else are hitting stats, why throw a fielding stat in there? Doesn't make sense

i don't really think we need to add a hitting stat at all , i mentioned in the other poll , all though tie's could still occur it would help reduce the tie's that would happen

It makes pitchers more valuable since they have more stats. I think giving up HR stat for pitching and adding the holds/saves category would make most sense.

I don't get it. How do you start adding/changing categories after teams have already been built to compete in the categories originally designed? What, because 15 teams couldn't figure it out in the beginning? So, if your changes go thru, now I have to break down my team, and re-design it in order to compete. Let's not do this every year, because people will get tired of it and just quit.
