I'm not sure what the standings will look like at the end of season, So I don't know who owns each pick yet. So I just put together a Power Rankings of my Honest opinions as of this moment. I had to take age and time to the majors into account heavily, yet there were a couple of 17, and 19 year olds that hit the list.
#1 Charlie Condon - Dude is a 50+ Home Run Risk after landing at Coors.
#2 Travis Bazzana- Batting Behind Steven Kwan Batting in front of Jose Ramirez. (There is talk of calling him up if the Guardians make the playoffs... I think he gets the Schaunel treatment and has to wait until the draft)
#3 Roki Sasuki - Major League Baseball executives are "planning" for Japanese right-hander Roki Sasaki to be posted this offseason. Very much like the Imanaga Pick last year. Sasaki, 22, is considered to be the most talented pitcher in the world who has not thrown a pitch as part of an MLB game now that Yoshinobu Yamamoto has joined the Los Angeles Dodgers. He first rose to global prominence in 2022, when he struck out 19 batters in a perfect game. Sasaki has started eight times this year, amassing a 2.18 ERA that, believe it or not, has caused his career ERA to increase to 1.94.
#4 Chase Burns - The Reds are getting something right with all of the talent they are acquiring.
#5 Jac Caglione - 2 way threat but plays for the Royals
#6 Hagen Smith- Randy Johnson but has already had 1 Tommy John Surgery
#7 Nick Kurtz - 40+ Homers estimated per season. (Because of the Total Bases I have him ranked higher then Wetherholt slightly) (Might be up right after Bazzana)
#8 JJ Wetherholt - Top SS
#9 Braden Montgomery - OF 5 Tool Player in Boston
#10 Trey Yesavage - Many pitches very close to GREAT already, only a few mechanics to work on.
#11 Bryce Rainer - Corey Seager 19YO though
#12 Jurrangelo Cijntje - Better pitcher from the right side, but Really good Ambidextrous pitcher. They plan on using him as a SP! (I wonder if this means a higher pitch count)
#13 Christian Moore - Probably one of the most well rounded players with a lot of tools. Downfall... Landing with the Angels.
#14 James Tibbs III - Solid Outfielder that might be the answer to SF's OF issues.
#15 Vance Honeycutt - Landing with the O's scares me deeply as a Yankees fan.
#16 Cam Caminiti - 17 years old. Best High School Pitcher Commits a Year early to an Organization that really really really builds their pitchers into aces.
#17 Cam Smith - Utility Player, but questions with his path to the majors.
#18 Carson Benge - Few college hitters in this class can match Benge's combination of bat-to-ball skills and high exit velocities. A left-handed hitter, he controls the strike zone and uses the opposite field exceptionally well. (I would put him higher on the List, but Drew Gilbert is in front of him... ... and it's the Mets)
#19 Walker Janek - Best Catcher in the Draft; Probably worth the late 1st round (Lifelong Astros fan as well)
#20 Tommy White - The A's are going for Bash Bros 2.0 ... 35+ Homeruns Estimated per season, needs to work on a couple of things.
There seems to be tiers here...
Picks 1-3 They will be picked somewhere in this Tier
Picks 4-10 is the next Tier
Picks 11-20 is the next Tier
Teams will draft by needs. Roki, Bazzana, Condon could go 1,2,3, While a team drafting 4th overall could grab Braden Montgomery over Chase Burns... even though I wouldn't do that lol. but you guys catch my drift.
(Edited to Add Trey Yesavage to Tier 2)
