I joined the league in 2022 after the old owner missed his picks I believe So I went back to the 2022 Draft results and I found it pretty interesting.
1-1 J. Leiter SP-TEX
1-2 J. Lawlar SS-ARI
1-3 M. Mayer SS-BOS
1-4 K. Watson SS-MIA
1-5 S. Suzuki LF,CF,RF-CHC
1-6 O. Colas RF,SP-CHW
1-7 H. Davis C-PIT
1-8 J. Jobe SP,RP-DET
1-9 B. House SS-WSH
1-10 H. Ford C-SEA
Max Muncy and Seiya Suziki were the most productive to date from that draft. Max Muncy was selected 2-18...
2023
1-1 Druw Jones CF-ARI
1-2 Jackson Holliday SS-BAL
1-3 Masataka Yoshida LF,RF-BOS
1-4 Kodai Senga SP-NYM
1-5 Shintaro Fujinami SP,RP-OAK/BAL
1-6 Termarr Johnson2B-PIT
1-7 Elijah Green CF-WSH
1-8 Gavin Cross RF-KC
1-9 Brooks Lee SS-MIN
1-10 Jacob Berry 3B-MIA
The top 10 and the most productive was Kodai Senga. Jackson Holiday is this year's top prospect and will get the Volpe Hype and debut. Elijah Green will get his debut before Druw Jones. Ethan Salas was selected in the 3rd round.
Many of the top prospects were out of these 2 draft classes and are expected to make debuts this season.
Majority of this FYPD are expected to recieve 2027 debuts. A very young talent pool and some foriegn exchange superstars.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto SP-LAD Was selected first overall and is hoping to be another Kodai Senga but with a better team. However Shintaro Fujinami was expected to be high value as well following right after Senga. His stuff never transfered over. Jung Hoo-Lee was drafted 10 overall and with both Yoshida and Suzuki going in the top 5 in drafts before this... this seems like a steal.
Max Clark might have that Eljah Green effect where he might break through into the majors before a couple of the Outfielders drafted in front of him... even though he is younger.
Just something to gloss over as I review my picks from the draft this year. These players literally grow into the roles. Alot of the guys from 2022 and 2023 are getting called up the within next 2 years.
