We are going to extend the Qualifying Offer deadline to January 1st. That way it is the day before our free agency begins. And it gives more times for these players to sign their contracts. Specifically, during the winter meetings in December when the moves start to happen.

Actually, the free agent auctions start on February 1st this offseason. The draft is Jan 2nd.
Should we do Jan 31st the qualifying offer deadline?

Glad I read this. I thought Free Agent auction started tomorrow. Just the MiLB draft. So 31st for QOs?
