In 2022, we had 19 regular season weeks (everybody played each other once) and we had 4 playoff weeks with the World Series being 2 weeks. We played up to the very last week of the season. For some reason with this year's schedule, I do 19 regular season weeks, it is giving us 5 playoff weeks. Which we do not want. So we can either do 20 regular season weeks to extend the season, or we can keep it at 19 and not have anything going on the very last week of the season and have the World Series get over with the week before the end of the season.
I know we run into some teams benching their starters the last week of the season but that is part of the game.
What do you guys think?

I think I would keep it at 19 weeks and have nothing the last week of the season especially when some teams have already clinched a playoff spot and will more then likely rest some of their players more often.

Everyone playing each other once is the fairest way to go. Two teams may be on the playoff bubble and one plays the best team in the league twice and one plays the worst twice

I’m good with 19 weeks. Just make sure everyone gets to go up against Houston. That’s a free win because the owner doesn’t participate. Needs to be replaced with someone who is going to at least check in once in a while and manage his team. That owner doesn’t do a darn thing.
