I know me and the Cubs talked about this last draft and maybe a few others. But I think the rule now is 24 hours for a pick, plus we have somewhat of a "bedtime" clock freeze anyway. Reducing this to like 6-10 hours seems like it shouldn't be an issue. I know last year there was one owner that seemed to intentionally let the clock run for 24 hours multiple times . I know COL is out of the states but having something like a 10 hour clock probably shouldn't affect him anyway I'm assuming? I remember a few of us discussed this last year so just bringing it to the forum

Right now we do not have a "bedtime clock" but we could do that. We could go down to 12 hours since that is what we use for auctions and everything else. One nice thing about Fantrax is teams can put players in their queue if they are not going to be available. Fantrax emails you when you are on deck so there should be plenty of advance notice.
I would like to hear feedback on this. Especially from Colorado since he is in Austria.

We set like a midnight-6am freeze on whatever the running clock was

Are teams able to still pick during that time? Because most likely, Colorado picks in the middle of the night our time I think.

I am fine with whatever we decide here. A short clock would be nice but want to be sure everyone is able to fit within that given time zone differences. Appreciate the point being brought up.

I am fine with shortening the time. Also think the off-season is nice and long so stretching out the draft isn't that bad of an idea, gives more people engaged longer and maybe more trading will happen.

I like shortening the time. I feel like a lot of us have at least an idea of the players we want in advance anyways

But i think 10 hours should be fine as well.

Even 12 hours would cut the draft in half , and if we all would make a lil better effort to set up a queue so when away our top of the list pick will be taken that would really help , and you can always turn the queue off to rework or trade a pick etc…..
