Fantrax would let us use as many DL spots as we want. Right now we increased it from 4 to 5 spots. Do we want to do no max on the DL?
This was brought up last year that teams shouldn't be penalized if they are getting hit with injuries and have no room on the DL. They are forced to keep DL players on the active roster. Teams in real life do not have a max. You would have to pay the DL players still.

I don't have a problem with having no limit. Teams still have to pay the guys on the DL, so they would run out of money eventually.

Personally, I think it should be maxed at 5, but I'm fine with the consensus.

Since they now have a 7 day dL , every time I turn around there is a guy on the dL , I say no max for that reason as well as this league was supposed to try and mirror real life baseball where feasible , this is feasible

Just to be clear, we would follow Fantrax for the injuries. So the only way to have a player on the DL during the offseason is if Fantrax allows you to keep them on the DL. Or we would just have a rule that all players need to be removed from the DL 1 week after the season. If we do unlimited DL spots we aren’t going to allow that during the offseason.

I say we have unlimited DL spots during the season and once the season ends we have no DL spots for the off season.
We have had several off seasons with a DL and a number of people have complained about this over the years so if maybe having an unlimited DL in season will make these members happy.

I agree.
I have updated the MLML a little and moved the DL below the Development Roster. That way if we do this we will have more room.

I am going to go ahead and lock the poll. We will do a unlimited number of DL players. They will all be counted towards your salary. At the end of the season you will have one week to remove ALL players from the DL. You will have to make room for them on your roster. If not, the players will be dropped automatically with the 50% penalty. And during the season, Fantrax will prevent you from making transactions if you have a player that is on the DL that is active. So this way we will not be able to stash players on the DL.
