ALL UNDRAFTED PLAYERS BECOME FREE AGENTS
This ensures that no fantasy relevant players are left out because of their contract situation.
We will start auctioning international Free Agents and all other undrafted players by March 5th.
During the season, if you want to pick up a player you have to bid for him too.

1. Starting with January 2, 2019 auctions will be opened again. 
2. Penaltys will be accessed for not being cap compliant.
3. We will lock free agency from the end of the world series to January 2, 2019.
3.1. Public Bidding where a GM opens a thread with the player and the first bid.
3.2. First bid (of yearly salary) has to be 500.000
3.3. There minimum bid increasement is $100.000. Starting on the 6th bid the minimum bid increasement has to be $500.000 total value. Starting on the 11th bid increasement has to be $1M There is no maximum bid increasment.
3.4. Bid has to stand for 12h. Then the thread will be closed and the auction is over.
3.5. Bid with the highest TOTAL VALUE wins. 
3.6. Overbidding is not allowed and can happen in two ways:
- If a bid takes your team above the cap
- You have too many bids open that can put your team above the cap
3.7. Offense to overbidding:
- First time: deletion of bid
- Second time: deletion of all bids
- Third time: suspension of team for bidding for International Free Agents
3.8. You must fill your entire team to a minimum of 20 players (maximum 25 players) to ensure competitive balance. The date to have your roster filled will be Opening Day 2015, Monday April 6th 2015.
3.9. Please post bids in this fashion (or some similar format): ##.# (cost), # years+(years). Bids are only made to the hundreth place and no further (##.#).
3.10. Maximum contract is 3 years at most.
3.11. Backloading of contracts is not allowed. You have to evenly split your money on the contract years.
3.13. Options can be added to players by placing a "+" after the years. This means that at the end of the contract, if the player has an option, the owner can decide to keep that player for one more season or let him go. You can only give a player an option for one year. You are allowed to offer 3 years and add an option for a 4th year.
3.14. If you delete a bid you will be punished.
- First offense: you pay a fine of $2.500.000 per deleted bid.
- Second offense: you get suspended for the rest of the auction and forfeit all current bids.

During the season:
If you want to pick up a player you have to bid on him too. You have to open another bid in ProBoards and the pick again hast to stand for 12h.

Just a reminder that when you win a player you have 12 hours after winning the bid to make necessary roster moves to accommodate the winning player.

For example:
You put in a bid at 7:00am on Sunday. That bid holds on at 7:00pm so you win the player. You have until 7:00am on Monday to drop a player if your team is full. Failure to make the changes in time will automatically forfeit your player and that player will go to the team with the previous bid. If there is no other team that bid on that player the player will be auctioned again.

FYI, the first bid counts with the 10 bids rule. It just doesn't count against the teams 5 bid rule.

If it's okay with everyone, for the best interest of the league and it's managers, we will eliminate the 5 bid max rule effective immediately. The currently open bids will be included in this rule change. Sorry for any incovenience this rule has caused in the past. But we have to start now so it doesn't keep happening.

To add to it, after the 5th bid the increments will be $500K. After the 10th bid the increments will be $1M.

To clear up confusion the 6th bid will have to go up to at least $500K in total value. The 11th bid will have to go up to $1M increments. Thank you.

Moving forward, any mistake or error in a bid will be a invalid bid. It is not fair to other teams that a team's mistake will extend an auction and affect other teams. Please make sure you understand the rules when posting bids. We can not be available at all times to correct them before it gets out of hand. Thank you to all the managers for the sportsmanship of helping all the new managers out. Shows the integrity and strength of our great league. Reminder to all the new managers of the following rules. Also please continue to check your bids to make sure that someone hasn't posted a mistake on your bid. Cause invalid bids do not count and the clock does not reset. We had this issue last year.

1. Maximum contract length is 3 years plus 1 option year that is optional.
2. Starting on the 6th valid bid the minimum increments go up to $500K total value.
3. Starting on the 11th valid bid the minimum increments go up to $1M total value.
4. Teams must have cap room for all years of contract to bid on a player. Example: Team has $10M available in 2017 and $2M available in 2018. Team can not post a bid for more than $2M for 2018 until they make cap room. The bid would be invalid and the previous bidder will be the winning bid.
5. Managers must make room on their roster immediately after winning the bid.

Just a couple of reminders for the upcoming auction that starts on January 2nd.

• You get the 20% discount if you declined a contract or if you lost the player through UFA.  Your team name should be in parenthesis in the title of the bid page. 
• The winning bid has to hold for 12 hours.  You have to have salary space to be able to post a bid.  
• If you qualify for the 20% discount, please post regular price and discount price.  The bid to beat would be the regular price for other teams.  Please round to the nearest hundreth.  Example: If it is $3.24M please put $3.2M or $3.78M please put $3.8M.
• If you qualify for the 20% discount, you would have to have the salary space for the discount price.  
• You have 24 hours after winning player to make a roster move to clear a space on your roster if needed.  If not, the player will go to the previous bidder or back to the Free Agent pool.
• Minimum bid is $500K.  Minimum increment is $100K.  Starting on the 6th bid, the minimum increment is $500K.  Starting on the 11th bid, the minimum increment is $1M.  
• Bid with the highest total value wins.  (Salary x base year) 3 years at $5M would be $15M.  1 year at $16M is $16 and would be a higher bid.
• Illegal bids will be deleted and the previous bid would continue to lead until a valid bid.

If you see a player that is not suppose to be on there, please let me know. If you are looking for a infielder, please check other positions as I used their main position that is listed in Fantrax.
