I accept, I am trying to sell and get younger and this deal does just that. If I was competing this year or even next I would have kept Hamels.

I reluctantly accept the above offer.
I am trying to shore up a weakness I currently have, which is not having enough IP for a playoff bound team.
I'm banking on Hamels to get another 6-8 quality starts from here on out.
I hate giving up either Rutherford or Whitley but I have to give to get.
The cash and draft pick coming my way makes this trade a bit easier to accept.
Thanks for trade Nats, I see you'll be a dominating team in a few seasons.
