OK, so I read in the New York Daily News that "So and So" "Maybe" sprained his finger??? Am I allowed to put him on the "Off-Season DL"?

This year Yahoo only allowed up to 5 DL spots, however I am guessing that could change. I'm for allowing as many spots as possible.
A suggestion for the offseason (just a suggestion, this can be ridiculed or not) Allow "X" amount of players during the offseason on a roster, The roster must be trimmed to 25 players by this "X" date.

Essentialy I'm saying do away with the offseason DL but allow more to players to be rostered for a period of time

I'm all for doing this after the 2018 season since many teams have P's on the DL for the sole purpose of their long term injuries. It wouldn't be fair to those of us to institute a new rule change reflecting no DL this off season. For example I currently have N. Eovaldi and S. Miller planted on the DL with the idea I can carry them during this upcoming off season.

Reality is: MLB Rules state "All players" must be taken off the DL 5 days after the World Series ends. This league can decide anyway they want, but let's not stray too far from reality...

Agreed with no limit as long as owners can pay them, otherwise we would give an incentive to trade for players in the DL who are out for the year since their contracts wouldn't have any weight for the year
As for keeping players on the offseason I guess we could go on a case by case basis the first time around, only allow player who are not a guarantee to be back to stay in there (TJ surgery, meniscus tears, those types of injuries)

We could expand rosters this offseason to 30 players. By opening day you have to be down to 25. There would be no DL spots so a manager could decide to use the extra spots for DL players or even prospects.

I think we should just expand rosters to 27-30 players and that will be for DL players or any prospects as long as they have a MLB AB or IP.

I'm good with making it a round number for the off season and then getting it down to 25 by OD. I believe we were given a period time (like 7 days) for adjustments because real life baseball usually starts placing guys on the DL on OD.

I concur. Move the DL to the max allowed by Yahoo which is five....at the moment. With all the DL's this year, I'm sure they will get pressure to expand as well. We should go with the Maz.
