I have a question about the salary of MLB rookies.
For the past two seasons we as a league have set it at 507, 500.
For 2017 the min has increased to 535,000.
Here's info from the CBA from Dec 1, 2016:
In the first year of the new CBA, the minimum salary will be $535,000, up 5.4% from $507,500, the minimum number in both 2015 and 2016.
So my question is are we as league going to follow the MLB league min increase for 2017??

Oh man they did.
I think we have two options:
1. We change it for next year and add a bit of budget for teams so that there are no problems.
2. Simply make 500.000$ out rookie salary.
I prefer option 2 but I'm open to what managers think.

I think 2 is fine. That way we don't have to fight with the odd numbers. This way we can make it a simple even $500K. It looks more clean. And it would be a lot of work going through all the teams to change the salary.

I am right now doing the change to 500k. the color still indicates rookie eligibility so that we can cleary distinguish that from our 500k contracts. Easy call here. Thanks stu. |
