Just wanted to throw out this, it happened to me last season as well as whoever had papelbon and gomez, where the player got either waived or sent down to the minors. Since puig was way over his eligible milb at bats i was stuck with him on the bench. Yahoo does have a NA position available and I was hoping to explore the option of using this in the upcoming season. obviously you would still have to pay the salary but at least you could pick up someone to fill in temporarily with the extra spot while the player is down in the minors.

That is a good idea..I don't think its hurting the league any and there are a few players that would benefit with that like Michael Taylor last season.

I see the NA spot as a short term fix for a team who might need it. Nowadays it's usually used for a birth of a child.
