Well since I posted about Bryant being on the block I said someone would have to overpay in order to get Bryant and I believe DBacks was able to bring enough to the table to make trading Bryant worth it. I wanted to shake things up after a disappointing end to last season so here we are. Bringing Syndergaard on gives me one of the best young pitchers in the game, Heely had a surprising year and is a risk but will be replacing Bryant as my 3B this year, Torres, Meadows, and Beede are all fantastic prospects with Meadows and Beede looking to help in late 2017 or beginning of 2018. My minor league system is pretty much dog shit so adding 3 top 100 prospects (two top 20) helps it out a lot.
Losing Davies with such a cheap contract was a little tough to give up but the upside of the others is worth it. I never imagined I would trade both Bryant and Harper in the same off-season but I think I got tons of young talent that will fill most of my roster for a long time.
This could end up being a horrible trade with none of the 3 prospects mounting to anything but I wanted to have some fun and mix things up. Hell it is fantasy baseball! Great deal DBacks and good luck with Bryant.
