I have a rule suggestion for 2017. We could do MLB waiver wire. I know this was talked about in the past but I think if we tweek it just right it could make sense. If you want to drop a MLB player you can either drop them immediately like we do now. What the new idea is to add is you can choose to put that player on Waivers for 48 hours. Other teams can place a waiver wire for that player if they choose. We would have a waiver order like we do with the MiLB. Teams would place the waiver on that player. If you win that player through waivers you get the contract as is. The original player's owner will not have to pay a penalty for losing that player. We could also add to it the original team can pull back the player at any time if they want.

I like the idea, if someone is going to stay on top of it and the rules are set in place

I'm all for this idea. I like it a lot. However it seems the responsibilities for the council of this league can become to much at times. I would suggest spreading out the duties or allowing more people to do certain things (Add/drop players on yahoo, update MLML, ect.).

Well the hardest thing would be setting up the list. It would be based by reverse standings of the regular season. So to start the worst team would get the 1st waiver and then once they use it they will go to the bottom. Then the person would just have to edit the list each time.
The rules would be pretty straight forward I would think. The team that puts a claim in would have to be able to absorb the contract at that moment. It would not be a trade. I like the idea of having the choice to pull back the waiver if they choose. At the end of the 48 hours if nobody claims them you can either keep the player or drop them and take the 50% penalty.

People have volunteered to do a few additional duties for almost two years now and they have been told no each time. I don't see why that would change now.

I like the part where you can claim the player, what I don't like is the fact that we're going to be allowed to pull him back, I'd say drop him and if someone wants him then he can go ahead and grab him, otherwise he becomes a FA and you pay 50%, if you're placing him on waivers then you're actually interested in dropping him anyways, right? Plus I don't like the part that you can pull back the player at any time, I can imagine someone pulling his player because the guy who put a claim is not his friend. If there's a claim you shouldn't be able to go back. I'd volunteer to manage the thing though, I'm already taking care of the MiLB waiver wire, but I'd say we take a good look into what we are going to allow and what not.

I like the idea, if someone is going to stay on top of it and the rules are set in place If you want it to be a rule then don't allow the league to vote on it. This should be an executive decision. You won't get the required votes much less get enough people voting.

Just want to make sure there are set rules that aren't vague so there isn't a hundred questions and mess ups during the season.

That is true. And the pulling back the player was just a added suggestion. If majoriry of people like the suggestion, we will build up the rules and iron it out and vote on it in October.
