I hope everyone is enjoying the auctions month. And we hope that you are enjoying the rounds that we are doing. I think it gives us something to do since it lasts longer. There have some crazy and exciting bidding wars on players. Just wanted to get some feedback on improvements that we can make for next season. We can talk about them and make this even better.

I honestly didn't like this idea in the first place of the spread out auction but after experiencing I actually do like it better. More laid back, I felt in previous years it was a bit frantic. I don't have as much flexibility with bidding this year financially anyway but it overall feels like a better pace.
Not really any ideas to improve but did want to mention I was not a believer and now I am.

I'm glad you are a believer now. The original plan was to do 4 rounds but split the infielders up. But with so many players that have multiple positions, that would be hard.
It gives managers another layer of strategy. Do you save money for later rounds? How much do you save for an OF that you might be targeting?
I do like the idea of not bidding on 60 players at once.

I would like to have put this off a year , i had a different plan going into this year and the new draft matrix wasn’t part of it

I like this years auction bidding situation, it’s more organized and can easily be monitored by those in charge here.

I liked the way this all went down. I was able to strategize my targets easily. I was able to plan out my spending and tried to maintain a budget. I didn't feel rushed. It was all very well organized.
A suggestion for next year is anyone in the Top 125ADP has to be bid on 1st week. I feel as though Marte and Yellich could have accumulated larger contracts if they were to have been allowed to bid on them when Managers had more money...
Other than that I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Under the old bid system they probably would have gone for more money , by time we got to them alotta money had been spent , dumbing down those contracts

I do kind of like the top 125 idea for the first round. But it was nice to be able just to focus on positions. We could rotate each year and next year do outfielders first.
But the top 125 idea isn’t too bad. It would depend on how many of those players fall and how many players are in the top 125 that are in the auction.
next offseason, we are switching the draft and auctions. So the draft will be Jan 2nd and the auctions will be February 1st. This will give more time for real life free agents to sign with teams and for arbitration players to get their salaries. Teams can still decide to decline a real life contract or arbitration contract and put them in auction right now. So we can hopefully get more free agents to bid on.
