I don't mind Yahoo but they are not as flexible as I thought.

Bad timing for a change on the eve of the playoffs.
I sent something in "Chat" on FANTRAX, regarding position eligibility. In YAHOO, Hitters only have to have 10 games started at a specific position in the previous year to qualify for the next season. Under the rules in FANTRAX, it is now 20 games. I never bothered checking out the pitchers, but, this change downgrades a lot of players value for next year. Are we stuck on the "20 Games", or can that be adjusted to the "10 Games" that "Everyone" was probably planning on for 2016?
Also, David Ortiz qualifies as a 1B in YAHOO, but does not get 1B in FANTRAX. Can this be adjusted?

Both concerns have been resolved now, Fantrax does allow for the minimum games to be changed to 10, so I did it already, and I also made Ortiz qualified for 1B

NYY and TEX ended in a 7-7 tie. Yahoo default tie breaker and our tie breaker is H2H matchup during the regular season. NYY beat TEX in week 14 so NYY advances.

I know I'm not in the play-offs, but I hope after the playoffs we are done with Fantrax.
I don't quite understand how we come up with playing all season in Yahoo, then using Fantrax for the playoffs. Doesn't make much sense to me!!!
I like using Yahoo for all my fantasy baseball, I'm just 1 manager but don't want no part of Fantrax.
Now go kick some butt CAPTAIN WAKE!

We had to use something else cause Yahoo wouldn't let us change playoff matchups. It automatically matches up the whole league based on seeds. I don't see how we can continue to use Yahoo if they don't let us do things that we set. For example, we have 2 wild cards from each league. Yahoo doesn't recognize our American and National Leagues. So it will take the best 4 non division winning teams in the playoffs. We can not edit that. I looked into it and other people complain about not being able to and Yahoo says they can't do anything about it

I'd agree with Jeff I can't stand the way fantrax is set up to do simple things.

Well, as I see it, we have one of two options:
Either we do it the way it is supposed to be, and use Fantrax for everything (which means something that a lot of you don't want, and I understand)
or
We change the "settings" of this league to make it the way Yahoo is doing it (only divisional winners and wildcards don't matter)
I'm ok with both, and I'd say that this should be something the league votes on. But that's something left to Hannes to decide.

I guess we need to get all the facts about ESPN, Fantrax and Yahoo. I have heard ESPN sometimes make you wait a few days for a prospect to be available. And in this league that wouldn't be fair. If you had Seager and you found out he's getting called up today you should be able to call him up as soon as possible. And not wait for ESPN to make him available. But I know ESPN lets you edit the playoff schedules. Cause I did it in football. We need info from both sites and then make a decision that's best for the league in the future.

Let us finish this year and vote on it. We discussed the matter extensively and I know that some do not like Frantrax or ESPN. I do not think that is a matter that should be decided by the Commissioner alone. So for the sake of this league I ask all managers to think about the options Jorge put out:
1. Yahoo with a schedule that does not allow any adjustments 2. Fantrax with all settings that we want
I just want to add here, that the change with the minimum active players is something that can be set by the commissioner in Fantrax. In Yahoo we would have to check the teams every single day, as there is no option to set a minimum number of active players as well as no option to set a minimum at bats, which both are available on Fantrax.
Thanks guys.

I found out now that we can edit the regular season schedule any time during the season. We definitely can not edit the playoff matchups. Right now we have 21 regular season games with 3 rounds of playoffs. To be able to edit playoffs we would have to have our playoffs in Yahoo's regular season. It looks like Yahoo forces us to do playoffs and they have a option to do a 4 team playoff starting on week 24. So to do that we would have to have our playoffs start a week earlier than this year. So we would have to have 20 regular season weeks and than the World Series would be in week 23. Right now the World Series is in week 24. So after week 20 we would edit the schedule for the way we would want our playoffs to be. We can also set it up that those weeks do not count towards out standings so we can see our final season standings for draft purposes.

we could also do away with divisions and just have 1 division and the top 6 or 8 teams go to playoffs , then yahoo would seed them according to finish and not reseed them after every round............ i know we all like the division thing , but not having them would also solve this issue

That would solve only one issue. We still have to check that players are active. I see that as a bigger issue.

U could always impose a penalty for managers not meeting the min. Active players .... Meet the minimum or lose a 1st round draft pick , violate again lose another pick and so forth an so on

I know, but how to keep track of that is the question. Fantrax would let us set a minimum of At Bats or a minimum of active players and we can even pick what penalty the team gets when the limit is not met. On Yahoo we will probably have to go through every lineup daily by hand which will be impossible.
