I think it can be done in fantrax but I noticed some teams leaving guys on the IL well after their done to preserve roster spots. Maybe on purpose maybe forgetful don't know.
In my other league in fantrax there is a 1 day grace period to remove healthy guy from il or you can't make roster moves. I don't think it wipes all your points out but just locks your lineup.
This is allowing people to essentially run with a preferred player on their active roster and not having to drop anyone.

Also a revote on the tommy John guys for the offseason IL since it's been a few years and Mets atleast was in favor and he's newer
Limit it to guys that are clearly going to be out to start 2024 or maybe limit even more to being confirmed out all of 2024
It penalizes teams with good depth for a guy that clearly won't be on the opening day roster... I get that it's not done that way in real life but this is fantasy life

To add to that, what do we do with Urias and Franco during the offseason? During the season, suspended players can go on IR. Do we do the same?

I mean whatever you guys did with Tatis during his suspension is what should happen here... but who wants to hold Wander Franco??? Very similar situation I had when I joined the league with whats his face pitching in Japan. Trevor Bauer! I had to look him up I forgot about him. But I wouldn't join unless if I could take over and drop him with no penalty. lol. |

Yeah, both of those guys can be dropped for no penalty.

Free drop or yeah let the owner keep them on il with no penalty until situation is resolved. Then once suspension is lifted he's on the regular roster for the owner to choose to keep our not As far as I know neither has been found guilty of anything so if investigation occurs and Franco goes back to being a cornerstone guy... Would suck for whoever to drop him for nothing and a year later he's free for all in free agency |

There is a lot of evidence against Franco... more evidence then Bauerbut yeah... looking forward to Nov 1st lol I don't really care about all the drama speculation of all that so I know nothing of his evidence just that he's not been found guilty of anything or suspended...hes on administrative leave You have the trevor bauer outcome and the marcell ozuna outcome....I think if the franco owner wants to keep him with the potential outcome of being found not guilty, they shouldn't be penalized for keeping him while the rest of us would be able to profit from his innocence if hes reinstated while the OG owner maybe spends his cash elsewhere. Also, if the owner wants to drop him for free and avoid the administrative leave and uncertainty...then i think thats okay too. If the owner wants to keep franco on admin leave then i think the salary should count but he should essentially be placed on "IL" to free up a roster spot. This isn't about wander franco specifically, its about how to handle players on administrative leave, steroid suspension, etc |

I agree with that, would also like to re vote on the long term/offseason IL. My team alone has 3 guys who would be eligible, and I’m sure there’s plenty of teams with at least 1 or 2 guys who will be out for some or most of 2024.

To add to this, I think it should be ONLY for guys who are confirmed to have some major surgery that was performed this year/during the offseason or other issues (Franco, Urias). This should NOT be used for guys who have minor surgery or general ailments through the offseason/Spring Training. |
