Day 141 Week 19
Of all the miracles in the bible, there is a greatest miracle. The Resurrection: The moment Jesus overcame death and proved for all time that He was who He said He was. Son of God who took away the sins of the world. You can share in this miracle. Accept Christ and gain His glory everlasting.
Message Bible: 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 -18 "Be cheerful no matter what; 17 pray all the time; 18 thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.

Day 142 Week 19
Ask and you shall receive. Seek with all your heart, mind and soul and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened. It's that knocking part that hangs a lot of people up. Don't let it. Speak up. Pray. Ask. He will provide you with a miracle.
Message Bible: 2 Samuel 22:31 "What a God! His road stretches straight and smooth. Every God-direction is road-tested. Everyone who runs toward him Makes it."

Day 143 Playoffs!
Congratulations to all the teams that made the playoffs. Thanks to the Commish for listing them.
The 4 division winners get a bye. There are 4 wildcard teams from each league. Wildcard #1 will play Wildcard #4 and Wildcard #2 will play Wildcard #3. The lowest seed winner will play the highest seed division winner in the league.
NL East Mets clinched the division
NL West Padres clinched the division.
NL Wildcard Cubs clinched wildcard #1 spot Giants clinched wildard #2 spot Cardinals clinched wildcard #3 spot Diamondbacks and Braves are fighting for the wildcard #4 spot. If Diamondbacks win, they clinch. If Braves win and Diamondbacks lose, Braves make the playoffs.
AL East Yankees clinched the division
AL West Athletics, White Sox, Royals, and Astros have a chance to win the division. If Athletics win, they clinch. If Athletics and White Sox both wins, Athletics clinches due to tiebreaker. If Ahtletics and White Sox both lose, and Royals and Astros win, there will be a tiebreaker. There would be a 3 or 4 way tie which I believe goes to best division record. If White Sox wins and Athletics lose, White Sox clinches. Athletics have the tiebreaker over Royals White Sox have the tiebreaker over Astros
AL Wildcard Athletics, White Sox, Royals, Astros, and Mariners
There! That clears everything up. Sort of. Fantrax is soooo lame. Anyway...let's RECAP!
First things first! Two HUGE wins in the last week. Congratulations to the Blue Jays (92) on turning their season around with a long, longed for win over the Orioles (100.5) AND....MIRACLE WEEK was just that. My Bosox (98.5) indeed came up with one, upending the Gargantuan Giants (154) to get me to my goal of being better than last year with my 5th win! Wait till next year! 6 Wins (or more!) here I come! Finishing the regular season in first place with a 17-2 record and their fifth win-in-a-row, the Mighty Mets (201). In 2nd place with a 15-3-1 record, a game and a half back, the Twice Champ Cubs (172) who bounced back from last weeks "L" to grab 2nd place all alone as the Powerful Padres f (170) finished 15-4 and slipped to third place when they were run down by the fast improving Athletics (173) who finished 13-6 by winning their fifth straight to grab a tie for fourth with the Gigantic Giants. The White Sox 11-6-2 (142) slipped for their third "L" in a row into a tie for 6th with the fast rising 12-7 Cardinals (147) with their fourth straight "W" and the streaking 12-7 Royals (142) winners of six-in-a-row! Ninth place finds the struggling 11-8 Astros (148) losers of 4 straight only a 1/2 game in front of the 10th place "On fire" 10-8-1 Yankees winners of six straight. Squeaker of the week: Who else but the Blue Jays on the strength of a single R. About time you got a break, Blue Jays! Stat leaders for Week 19: HRs - Athletics/Cardinals Orioles (13) Runs - Athletics (40) RBIs - Rockies (45) SB's - Diamondbacks (11) AVG - Diamondbacks (.347) "Ks" - Padres (69) ERA - Cubs (1.78) WHIP - Cubs - (0.956) W+QS - Red Sox (11) SVh- Royals (10). Key matchups this week! Twice Champ Cubs vs the 11th place Diamondbacks. On the surface it would appear a walk in the park for the Cubs but beware! The Diamondbacks brought their bats (.347 Avg) and their legs (11 SB) last week. Had they played H/H last week would have been a "W" for the Diamondbacks. Cardinals vs Giagantic Giants. Can the Giants shake off their 2 "Ls" in a row? The Cardinals are on a roll and had they played H/H last week would have been a Cardinal "W". Mariners vs White Sox Can the White Sox stop their 3 game slide and find their winning ways? Had they played the Mariners H/H last week they would have just squeaked by with a "W." And finally Astros vs Royals. The Royals have won six-in-a-row and the Astros have lost 4 straight. Had they played H/H last week would have been an easy win for the Royals, but as the Giants can attest...miracles do happen. Best of luck to one and all. As for me, I am content with my two-in-a-row with an upset win on the last week. That's right. Contentment is this week's theme.
Message Bible: Psalm 4:8 "At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, For you, God, have put my life back together."

Day 144 Week 20
God has called you to lead the life He has assigned to you, and to be content. Beware of comparing your situation with that of someone else and being dissatisfied because of the comparison.
Message Bible: 1 Corinthians 7:17 "And don't be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God's place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there."

Day 145 Week 20
You know what it is to be in need. You know what it is to have plenty. The secret of being content in any and every situation is simply putting your trust in God. He will provide. Be content in that sure knowledge.
Message Bible: Philippians 4:12-13 "I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. 13 Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.

Day 146 Week 20
Being content is an active verb. Don't wait for it. Do what you love: Whenever you do what you love, no matter the activity, you find yourself happier. Just do it.
Message Bible: Hebrews 13:5 "Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you."

Day 147 Week 20
There are many ways to find contentment. One way is to take stock of your situation and express gratitude. Being thankful for the things you have can put you in the headspace of knowing that things aren’t nearly as bad as you sometimes make them out to be. It can give you the realization that, although things could be better, they are manageable for the time being.
Message Bible: Matthew 6:33 " Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met."

Day 147 Week 20
The easiest way to express gratitude is to sit down and write out the things you’re grateful for. Maybe it’s your friends, who are seemingly always there for you. Maybe it’s your family and the unconditional love they give. It could be your job or the opportunities you’ve been given in your life that, deep down, you know have made things easier for you. Even just simple things like a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in or running water. Being grateful for these things can give you a perspective we lose all too frequently and can show you that no matter what you’re struggling with, at least you have these things to keep you comfortable. And above all, remember who is leading the way. God. Go willingly. He will not disappoint.
Message Bible: Isaiah 14:27 "God-of-the-Angel-Armies has planned it. Who could ever cancel such plans? His is the hand that's reached out. Who could brush it aside?"

Day 148 Week 20
My best advice to finding long-lasting contentment is to start by addressing the root of your discontentment. What is holding you back? If you want to eat healthier, you start by cutting out junk food. If you want to be more present, you start by taking away things that distract you from the moment, like your phone. And in all things, let God.
Message Bible: Matthew 5:14-16 ""Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. 15 If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. 16 Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand - shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Day 149 Week 21
I don't know what to write here. The Fantrax site is soooo lame, I can't even see last week's results. I do know I bested the Rays on Sunday when he didn't have enough innings pitched. Did he even know we were playing? I honestly didn't know until Tuesday. On Sunday the weeks lineup didn't include my team. I thought nothing of it, as last year the season ended if you didn't make the playoffs. When I went on Tuesday, low and behold we were facing off with identical 5 - 14 records. Cool, I thought. When I won my record sixth game I wondered if I was going to play again this week. I'm not scheduled, but the Rays are playing Seattle? WTF? A look at the H-H schedule is even more confusing? Great league. HORRIBLE VENUE. I would LOVE to go back to Yahoo next year. We should maybe pole the league? Congrats to the winners last week, whoever they were.
