Kinda like last year when Zobrst and Price went so long until they were released and then a bidding war took place. Do this sooner rather than later and then there might be more FAs in the pool

In real MLB, teams have until Friday before free agency starts to extend qualifying offer. We would have to wait for that. I say we let council our 2 commissioners decide that amendments fate.

Hasn't been announced yet because off-season is still going. We won't know till World Series is over.

I think this is a great idea with the deadline mentioned by TX.

I am in no way representing the "League", but, it looks like $12,000,000 is the "Winner". Everyone should understand that if they offer a player this option, then they have no rights to the player in 2018 other than the discount...

And we will follow the MLB deadline so you will have the Friday before MLB free agency begins to make the decision.
You will have a choice to to offer your Free Agents or Arbitration players a Qualifying offer of 1 year at $12M. If you choose to give them a QO that player will be a automatic free agent the following year and you will be eligible for the 20% discount if you win the player back. If you choose to not offer them a QO, you can wait to make a decision and accept their real life MLB contract that they sign for or decline them.

The Friday before? Does Free Agency begin with the end of the World Series?

The free agent deadline will be announced after the World Series by MLB. So that will be our deadline.

I was going to root for the Indians before the Cubs got in. I think if the Cubs can get to the starter before we see Miller we will have a good chance. I think on paper the Cubs have a better pitching staff. But the Indians sure looked good against the Blue Jays. But that's the only thing wrong with home run hitting teams like the Jays. Too hot and cold.
